So as the first month in Mississippi closes, I have to say... that I am actually having a great time!! I do miss my friends back home, my family, real Asian food, and especially Bruce... but it has really been a awesome getting to know all my new friends! Because we are forced to be in a kind of the middle of nowhere area for three months with just each other, I have been getting to know everyone on a more one-on-one basis. It's amazing how diverse we are outside of our ethnicity... Everyone's experience, what they studied, where they lived/traveled.... I find out more and more interesting things about everyone everyday. Some of my friends back at home don't understand why I am "wasting" my time getting to know other people when I can be spending quality time with my good friends back at home... but to me, it's not "wasting," but instead spending quality time with my new friends. Why limit yourself to just the people you know? Anyway, I can really say that I have made some life long friends... I can now call up friends to hang out when I go to Norway, Poland, Abu Dabi, France, Saudi Arabia, India, Singapore, and Canada !
I've been learning a lot at work and am having good performance scores so far.. I hope I do well in the end to make my big boss proud! haha This whole experience here has reminded me of college... class, study, play, hang out, pong. hahaha It's nice to know that you never get too old to play. Anyway, below are some Shubuty shenanigans... BBQ's, ropers, dancing, who knows what else we did... haha
