KK Sea Food and Night Life

KK Sea Food and Night Life

After shopping at 1Borneo, we headed back to the Pacific Sutera Hotel. We got ready to go out for a nice seafood dinner and off to go "clubbing" afterwards to experience the KK night life. We ate at this place called Port View Seafood Village. They had a room with just walls of live sea crustaceans of all sizes... they had these weird giant prawns in coke bottles???? It was so weird! They looked like some sort of science experiment or like test tube babies... The seafood here were SO HUGE!! The prawns, oysters, clams... they were all so big that I actually was a bit frightened.

The restaurant was right along the port, right by the sea and open to the outside on all sides. We sat out along the porch area, where we ordered Chinese tea, tiger butter prawns, tofu and veggies, fried rice with shrimp, and crabs with chili sauce. I have never had crab out of the shell before unless someone peeled it for me (I know, I'm spoiled  teheh...), but I had a really hard time peeling the damn crab.. but it was just soooo good. Amin was a gentleman and was cracking all the big crab legs for me and giving me the big meaty pieces so all I had to do was pull the meat off... I guess that is considered "Manja" (a new word I have learned.. meaning spoiled? but cute? but not cute? still not sure what the meaning of the word is...).

All three of us were soo full... If I had pants on, I probably would've unbuttoned my pants... that's how full I was. It was still raining out, but luckily since all the bars and clubs were along the port, we didn't have to walk too far. Me and Dean had to maneuver our pathway to the club a bit, going in and out of bars, to get the least wet from the rain outside, but we made it!

We decided the night before to go to Bed Night Club, so that's where we were! We paid 20RM each for entrance and one either Carlsberg or one Tiger beer. The club was... a big small. The decor was comparable to US clubs though. It was a bit like Lush night club in Dallas, the size and the environment. The big thing out here are live bands and performers. I was really surprised at how well the group performed. The rapper, and the three girl singers were really good. They danced and sang covers of popular songs from like Pitbull, Jennifer Lopez, Drake, etc... they even did a pretty good cover of Gangnam Style (this song is SO popular here... I can never get away from this song...). The music was split between the live band and the DJ's. The DJ's were also really fun and were hyping everyone up. One had a deadmau5 hat, and another the robot head from LMFAO jumping around, so that was also a good time.

In order to sit anywhere at any club in Asia, you have to reserve a table, but luckily, some people just left the bar, so I sat on the bar stool and danced on the stool... since Dean nor Amin wanted to dance... LAMEEE. Amin is a froggy with little words or expressions, so dancing is not a strong suit for him... He dances in the heart.. hahah

A few things I realized when out in Malaysia... 1) Girls wear the ugliest shoes I have ever seen in my life. They are like old lady fob shoes that you will see a grandma wearing... So outdated and not fashionable!!! All the stores at the malls that sell shoes... their products are seriously fugly *Barf*. I would never be caught dead wearing those heels/shoes. 2) Rat tail hairstyle... uhhhhh what the hell is up with this hairstyle? Guys, from ages 5-40, had this hairstyle ... My friend Anthony had a tiny rat tail back in college and even at that size, I thought was gross... but the guys here have like a mullet at the front/top, and then a LONG rat tail in the back... a tail as long as my hair!!!!! EW!!! I wanted to take the rat tails of all the guys and cut them off.... Creeper photo below...tehe 3) There are really nasty photos of diseases on the cigarette boxes here.... Everyone out here smokes, they even sell cigarettes at the bar at Bed... but seriously, ew! the photos are so G-Ross.... Photo below! 4) The Gangnam Style song is seriously taking over the world. I seriously cannot get away from this song. Whenever my coworkers found out I was Korean, they busted out in the horsey Gangnam style dance... WHY!? There was this like.. a 40 year old man on the table with a gangnam style t-shirt on... doing some salsa dance? Should've seen what he looked like when the actual song came out... I feel like this dance is the new "Souljah Boy" dance, where if you know it, you think you're like super cool... awkward.

Anyway... The night was a good chill/fun night! I enjoyed dancing/sitting on my bar stool to the beat of the music, sipping on my new fav drink (Chivas and coke), and with the company of Dean and Amin :).

Now.. it is time for sleep! Long drive tomorrow ! Good night !!!
